BBE release: A modernised foundation and the introduction of Access Hub

We’re introducing a major modernisation of BBE’s underlying technology, alongside BBE Access Hub, a new self-service portal designed to make service management easier for you and your customers.

Our latest BBE release brings significant improvements behind the scenes, strengthening security, simplifying long-term maintenance and creating better conditions for future development.

At the same time, we’re introducing BBE Access Hub, a ready-to-use web portal that enables your customers to browse, order, activate and manage services independently.

BBE – Significant improvements under the hood

A modernised foundation for BBE, with improved security, maintainability and room for future development.

We’ve been working on a major modernisation of BBE, introducing significant improvements behind the scenes while keeping everyday user workflows largely unchanged.

What’s changing, and what does it mean for you?

  • A stronger foundation for the future: A modernised architecture and updated technologies make BBE easier to maintain and support, while reducing technical limitations for future development.
  • Improved security and access control: Centralised authentication and authorisation through Keycloak, with multi-factor authentication (MFA) preconfigured.
  • More controlled integrations: A new API Gateway provides controlled API access and encrypted internal communication.
  • A more flexible technical architecture: Container-based deployment and closer integration with the Shared Components architecture used by BECS.
  • A familiar user experience: Despite the extensive changes behind the scenes, the modernisation is designed to minimise disruption to your everyday workflows.

Before you upgrade

The modernisation also introduces new technical requirements and dependencies. Before upgrading, please review the documentation in the Shared Components folder on our support website to ensure your environment meets the necessary prerequisites.

Introducing BBE Access Hub

A ready-to-use self-service portal that makes service management easier for you and your customers.

We’re also introducing BBE Access Hub, a new module that enables your customers to browse, order, activate and manage services through a dedicated web portal.

With automated service activation and fewer manual processes, Access Hub helps reduce your operational workload while giving your customers greater control over their services. Customers can also register and place orders independently, without requiring manual assistance from your team.
